This new bass is one of two going to Manchester Bass Lounge where it is available to buy.
It has a Mahogany and Maple neck with a Pau Ferro fingerboard, the body is mostly Walnnut.
Pickups are a Kent Armstrong single coil and a Carvin MusicMan humbucker, the circuit is by RetroVibe and is a recreation of the orginal Stingray electronics.

Mostly Walnut New Bass

The neck is walnut and maple, body is walnut and flamed ash. The fingerboard is Madagascan rosewood.
The pickup is an EMG MMTW, As the pickup is epoxy sealed in its cover I sand the sides and top of the pickup down and glue the wooden cover around it.

Manchester Bass Lounge
Assorted basses at a recent "Meet the Luthier" event at MBL. Lovely evening meeting lots of well informed and friendly bass players, expertly hosted by Drew.

This recently finsihed bass features a maple and mahogany neck, cocobolo fingerboard and ash and imbuya body.
The pickup is a wooden covered seymour duncan in a guitar style humbucker mounting.
