This guitar is the third I've built for this particular client - which puts him top of the owners club!

Certainly one of the finest instruments I've made it features..
- Mahogany, Wenge, and Maple veneer laminated neck
- Deep set "semi-through" neck.....the neck runs through the body almost to the bridge pickup cavity.
- Exhibition grade Quilted Maple/Rosewood/Honduran Mahogany/Quilted Maple laminate body
construction.
- Tom Holmes pickups

Hello. This is the latest guitar completed - built for Mr Stuart Burton.

It features a maple/RW neck, ash body , Gotoh Black chrome hardware. The humbucker is custom wound by Bulldog pickups - using all black pole pieces.
The finish is my usual oil and wax over a black stain, which gives the wood an aged, smokey feel. This is my take on the relic look I suppose - but rather than making the guitar look old I make the wood look like it's sbeen around for a while. This coupled with the mirrored plates give the insturment an industrial look which I rather like.

The finished "Nouveau Simple" in Walnut.
This bass features a single Kent Armstrong Humbucker with a Kent Armstrong active circuit, Rosewood Board, and an English Walnut body.
It has a much warmer, rounder sound than the previous "simple" bass with very strong mids, largly down to the walnut body which is nearer in mahogany tonally, but with a little more bite and top end.
This bass is for sale, please email for details.

Hello, here's a recent publicity shot. Hopefully for use in Bass Guitar Magazine in their Luthier section - more news on that soon....

That the Walnut "Simple" bass nearly finished, behind the version in cherry

The finished result.

Here's a pic of the Mother of Pearl inlay.

The logo is simply how I sign the "E" of my surname. Each piece of MOP is individually signed then the shape cut out using a fret saw.

When inlayed into the headstock the void is filled using a mixture of epoxy resin and ebony dust to give a black logo.

This is the next "Simple" Bass in progress.

Neck mostly done bar the carving and it's sitting on a nice walnut body blank, which has a lovely ripple and golden colour.

This bass will feature a single kent armstrong humbucker and active circuit but should still sell at around the £750 - £800 mark
