Walnut Twin Pickup 4 String
This bass features a 3 piece bolt on neck of maple and mahogany. The body is ash with a walnut top, the fingerboard is Madagascan rosewood.
The neck pickup is an EMG 40P, which is essentially a precision pickup in a soapbar casing. I have positioned this more or less in the correct precision position which gives a classic, familiar sound - the bridge pickup is an EMG 40DC for a more powerful, modern sound.
The hardware is by hipshot, with both the tuners and bridge constructed from aluminium.
Other than that the usual zero fret, 34" scale, 20" fingerboard radius, thin body ( 1.25" thick ) and thick headstock ( 17mm ).

Bass on Greek TV
Here's some good footage from Greek television of one of my basses in action with the group Onirama. Have a look at earlier posts to learn more about the bass.

Cocobolo Through-Neck Bass

This new bass is the first through-neck instrument I've made in a while.
The neck is maple and wenge, with body wings of ash fronted in a lovely orangey cocobolo.
The neck binding and position markers are also cocobolo.
The pickups are hand wound ( by Wizard pickups in Wales ), and complemented by an extensive control system comprising of two volumes, passive tone control, active 3 way tone controls and the four switches select betweem active/passive, series/parallel and humbucker/single coil.
